Georgia looks to sweep a three-game homestand on Sunday when they host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at Stegeman Coliseum.

Georgia is 2-0 with a wins over Bryant and USC-Upstate. The Bulldogs blew out Bryant but needed a late run to dispose of the Spartans Tuesday night. Yante Maten and Rayshaun Hammonds scored 16 straight points down the stretch to help avoid the upset.

Maten has been nothing short of fabulous through the first two games averaging 21.5 points and 13 rebounds. Hammonds has proven to be a solid running mate averaging 15 points and 7.0 rebounds while shooting a blistering 72 percent from the field.

Texas A&M Corpus-Christi enters Sunday’s game having lost two straight. After a one point win in the season opener over Our Lady of the Lake, the Islanders fell at Baylor and at home against Texas Rio Grande Valley.

The Islanders have some experience in the backcourt led by Joseph Kilgore who is averaging a team-best 14 points per game.
