You don’t take down the mighty Ball State Cardinals without…..oh who am I kidding? Georgia was probably going to win this one even without a total team effort.
Offense: Dillon Bell. Anyone who watched Dillon Bell’s high school highlights knew that he’s perfectly capable of playing tailback. But seeing him cruise to the end zone for a 21 yard touchdown really brought it home. Throw in 3 catches for 27 yards, and the sophomore ended the day with one of his most productive efforts in a Bulldog uniform.
Defense: Tykee Smith. Smith stayed on the field and played a complete game, tallying 3 total tackles, 2 of them solos, 1.5 tackles for loss, and an interception he returned for 12 yards to the Ball State 20 to set up a Kendall Milton touchdown.
Special Teams: Mekhi Mews.

“Waffle House” is quickly becoming a fan favorite. After last week electrifying the Bulldog offense he got the scoring going today with a 69 yard punt return. He averaged 37 yards on three punt returns and added a 47 yard kickoff return, almost single-handedly putting Ball State in a field position deficit. The diminutive speedster is getting better and better as he gains confidence, and could grow into one of Georgia’s most reliable weapons by the time 2023 is done.
