You’ve probably got big Labor Day plans, but that doesn’t mean you can skip out on the most important Bulldog news of the day. So before you get to your grilling, boating, pool lounging, skinny skiing or whatever else you have planned, here’s what’s happening in Bulldog Nation:
A number of future Bulldogs had big weeks on the gridiron. QB commit Dylan Raiola was a tidy 12 of 16 passing for 284 yards and 3 touchdowns, leading his Buford team to victory over North Cobb.
Perhaps the most impressive performance of the weekend however came from linebacker commit Kris Jones. In addition to starting on defense he also had a 70 yard touchdown run, which is very unlinebackerly behavior.
In injury news, well, there are still a lot of nagging injuries. Unfortunately the Bulldogs are unlikely to have healthy receiving or running back corps for awhile, and there’s every reason to think it will affect offensive execution.
You probably noticed that Xavier Truss was wearing Devin Willock’s #77 on Saturday. Afterward he spoke with reporters about why that was, what it meant to him, and what the plan is to honor Willock going forward.
That should get you started on your holiday. Have a great one, and…
Go ‘Dawgs!!!
