It’s a tale as old as time. Or at least, the game of football. The contest is coming to an end. One team has won. The other has lost. One coach celebrates with his players. The other stands solemnly in reflection, thinking about what went wrong and where the team goes from here.
This Saturday, for the 29th game in a row, Kirby Smart was the first guy and not the second. No, that guy was Georgia Tech head coach Brent Key, seen here in the final moments of Georgia’s 31-23 win over Georgia Tech:
By now you know the drill, Dawg Sports commentators: What was Brent Key thinking?
a) “It’s a good thing the last guy got everyone used to this. Or maybe it was the guy before him. Whatever, they should have seen this coming.”
b) “On the bright side, it’s only 278 days until Dragon Con 2024.”
c) “I feel like I ordered my Varsity chili dogs with extra onions without realizing I left my Rolaids at home.”
d) “I think I feel most sorry for the officials. Those guys have played their hearts out tonight.”
