Happy Wednesday, Dawg fans. If you’re like me you’ve probably got sweet potatoes to peel, a turkey to defrost, and maybe miles to drive before you sleep (on your in-laws rock-hard hide-a-bed). I wouldn’t want to keep you from those simple joys. So here’s a quick whip around of what’s going on in Bulldog Nation.
The UGA video production team released the highlight video from the Tennessee win and, in the words of noted Volunteers/Milwaukee Brewers/ Savannah Bananas/ Sligo Rovers fan Kenny Chesney, that’s the good stuff:
During his Tuesday press conference Kirby Smart said the Bulldogs had a pretty good “Bloody Tuesday” practice, even if they did have to move indoors for part of it. It also sounds like the injury news is fairly good, with Tate Ratledge, Ladd McConkey and RaRa Thomas all moving well if not getting a lot of reps. Reading between the lines, it sounds like Kirby is willing to sit some players this weekend if it means having them fully ready in two weeks against the Alabama Crimson Tide. If so, I concur fully.
Over at our SB Nation sister site From the Rumble Seat the Jacket fanatics are looking ahead to this weekend and just want to keep it close. Also worth remembering, as the post points out: the Ramblin’ Wreck are now bowl eligible for the first time since the Paul Johnson era.
In other, more body odor-scented corners of the Georgia Tech internet, wanna see somebody ruin a touching father/son story in a hurry? You can count on the gang at Stingtalk for that sort of thing.
