It’s a new college football season, but so far many things appear refreshingly familiar. Bo Nix is still a generous soul so far as sharing the football goes. The Bulldog defense is still stingy and still has a nasty edge. And Stetson Bennett still doesn’t care if you think he’s a game manager, because he’s busy managing a brutally efficient offense.

It all adds up to a 28-3 halftime lead in Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The Mailman just keeps delivering, completing a surgical 18 of 21 passes for 254 yards and two touchdowns. We knew the Red and Black would probably be a little more pass-happy in 2022, but I’m not sure anyone expected the Prince of Pierce to hit seven different receivers before halftime. I expect we may see Todd Monken put the ball in the hands of McIntosh, Milton & Edwards, P.C. in the second half, especially if the ‘Dawgs can put it in the end zone to start the second half.

Go ‘Dawgs!!!
