It wasn’t always pretty, but Georgia played a good enough first half to stake themselves to a 30-0 lead against the overmatched Samford Bulldogs.
Stetson Bennett completed a solid 20 of 28 passes but had some catchable balls dropped and a couple more that were just really well defended by the visitors. Kenny McIntosh remains a weapon both by ground and air, where he’s again the Dawgs’ leading receiver so far with 5 catches for 61 yards.
The Bulldog defense on the other hand has prevented the Fightin’ Chris Hatchers from doing much of anything, allowing a total of 59 yards of offense on only 23 snaps. Samford currently has 1 first down and is 0 for 8 on 3rd and 4th down. That’s no way to pull an upset on the #2 team in the nation.
The Red and Black will get the ball to start the second half, and will likely look to score and then start working some of the reserves in. Let’s stay healthy, stay sharp, and finish it out strong.
Go ‘Dawgs!!!
