Wednesday Dawg Bites “Ain’t Staying In No Foreign Country During Football Season”

NCAA Football: CFP National Championship-Georgia vs Alabama Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The season opener against Oregon is getting closer and closer.

So why not trot out an edition of Dawg Bites?

In the Athens Banner-Herald, there is a look from preseason camp at Georgia’s secondary, where pieces are talented, yet unproven.

What’s the dynamic like for Georgia with Glenn Schumann and Will Muschamp being co-defensive coordinators? Both shared on Tuesday how their roles are divided up and how the two compliment one another, both as coaches and personalities.

In former Dawg news, Roquan Smith, like Lewis Grizzard, has reached a point where he longer wants to be in Chicago. Your move, Mr. Blank.

Speaking of Oregon, the AJC has a dispatch of two from the Ducks home way out west, offering a perspective from the land of Phil Knight.

This comes as no surprise to anyone who saw the renderings previously, but the massive $68.5 million overhaul of Sanford Stadium got its approval on Tuesday.

Improvements will include a new entryway and plaza and widened lower concourse - and if you have been to games recently, you can attest that is a major, major problem.

If you’ve got to use the bathroom during a game, you either have to stress your kidneys and hold it or accept that you’ll miss half a quarter or so of football.

More than ever before, universities have to give fans fewer excuses to watch from home on the 60-inch flat-screen TV, and this is a step in doing that.

There were many people I wish were alive to see Georgia win the national title. Lewis Grizzard was one of them.

Go Dawgs!
