It’s the most important SEC weekend to date – Arkansas v. Georgia, Ole Miss v. Alabama, and Kentucky v. Florida. We will see if any of the bluebloods will be upset by the surprise undefeateds.
Prior to kickoff, let’s take a gander and see who is making noise in the conference.
Here’s what’s happening around the SEC:
- Auburn head coach Bryan Harsin has yet to name either Bo Nix or TJ Finley as the starting quarterback this weekend when his Auburn Tigers take on the Tigers of LSU. After helping lead last week’s comeback, and having transferred from LSU, my money is on Finley getting the nod.
- Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin is in a war of words with ESPN’s Michael Wilbon after the latter went on a tirade on Pardon the Interruption about how much of an embarrassment Lane Kiffin is everywhere he coaches. This feels like a “get off my lawn” type of thing, and personally, I wouldn’t mind seeing the Rebels knock off Bama if for nothing else but for Kiffin’s postgame reactions and commentary.
- Speaking of Bama, the Crimson Tide picked up another recruit. Four-star tackle Elijah Pritchett from Columbus, Georgia committed to Alabama, choosing the Tide over multiple other schools, including UGA.
- Kentucky will be with six players who have recently been cleared to practice after a grandy jury declined to indict the six players for an alleged burglary at a fraternity house back in the spring.
It’s time to be elite. GO DAWGS!!!
