Cupcakes, comedowns, and the Ivy League...

Week 4 of the college football season is often a step back in terms of competitive/ranked matchups and this year doesn’t seem to be any exception. That said, we’ve still got some intriguing storylines and, as we’ve already seen, it doesn’t exactly take a Top 10 team to knock off a Top 10 team. There are still a substantial number of teams playing cupcakes... but since Georgia can’t unilaterally kick Vanderbilt out of the SEC East, we’ll just have to live with that.

Alright, enough yappin’...

Let’s do it!

Your Week 4 College Football TV Schedule >>>> CLICK HERE!!!

And now for my viewing suggestions for each time slot:

THURSDAY

Marshall Thundering Herd @ Appalachian State Mountaineers, 7:30 -ESPN

I wouldn’t expect to see most students in class on Friday... Based on previous experiences in Boone, there will be plentiful substances drinkable, edible, and (ahem) “otherwise consumable” to enhance the gamenight experience.

FRIDAY

Brown Bears @ Harvard Crimson, 7:00 - ESPNU

God, I love Ivy League football. The pomp and circumstance. The tradition and history. The ultimate futility of it all...

SATURDAY NOON

#2 Georgia Bulldogs @ Vanderbilt Commodores, 12:00 - SECNetwork

Better get to preppin’ and drankin’ early because we’re about to have back to back noon kickoffs. Ugh. Vandy... I get. I can accept that. But an ascendant Arkansas entering Sanford Stadium to take on the #2 team in the land? That doesn’t warrant prime time? This stinks of some Sankey nonsense and I’ve had it with that joker!

When this one gets out of hand, kick it on over to FOX for Notre Dame/Wisconsin.

SATURDAY AFTERNOON

#16 Arkansas Razorbacks vs. #7 Texas A&M Aggies (Arlington), 3:30 - CBS

A marquee early season battle that I’m not so sure any of us would have predicted would be quite so marquee. I don’t know about you, put I am more than ready to see Sam Pittman outcoach Jimbo Fisher. Get those Hogs good and confident before they come to Sanford next weekend!

SATURDAY EVENING

#11 Florida Gators @ Tennessee Volunteers, 7:00 - ESPN

I’m not gonna do anything crazy like a predict a Tennessee win. But I will say I think Florida is going to come back down to Earth in this game. I think they are who we thought they were and Alabama just isn’t quite as invincible as they usually seem. Guess we’ll find out.

SATURDAY LATE

Arizona Wildcats @ #3 Oregon Ducks, 10:30 - ESPN

Colorado Buffaloes @ Arizona State Sun Devils, 10:30 - ESPNU

Oregon State Beavers @ USC Trojans, 10:30 - FS1

Pac-12 After Dark. INTO. MY. VEINS!!!

That’s all for now, folks. Have a great rest of your week and get ready for another amazing college football Saturday.

Until later...

GOOOO DAWGS!!!
