First Quarter Open Thread

JT Daniels is listed as the starter at quarterback. Darnell Washington is listed as active, as is Tykee Smith. All of that may be gamesmanship by Kirby Smart, and it all may be academic.

If the guys on the field come out and play football for Georgia, avoiding mistakes and forcing South Carolina to make plays I like our chances in this one. So far this week has looked a little like what I call “Oracle of Delphi Week.” It’s the week of the college football season in which, after deciding that we’ve got a pretty good bead on how good everyone is, we find out that the person who knows the most about college football is the one who knows that they know nothing at all. Let’s hope the Bulldogs break the trend, confirming that they are exactly who we think.
