Tuesday Dawg Bites Has Good Options

The quarterback who may or may not have been booed by a small amount of fans before the UAB game, Stetson Bennett may start on Saturday against South Carolina...or he may not.

What’ll be the deciding factor? How well JT Daniels feels.

For sure, having a quarterback who can make throws as an option is a good problem for Georgia to have. This much is true, though. As long as Stetson Bennett has to be relied on, he has intangibles that can’t be overlooked, and those rub off on his teammates.

In an era of players using the Transfer Portal as an option, Bennett is a throwback as he goes against the thinking of transferring when playing time is an issue.

Georgia’s biggest challenge of the season may be Sept, 25 against Vanderbilt. It has nothing to do with the Commodores. Rather, it has everything to do with the fact that the game will kick off at Noon...that’s 11 am local time.in Nashville.

Noon kickoffs have a ‘team coming out flat’ written all over them, and Georgia has had its share of listless showings in Nashville with those early kickoffs. The 2003 game in Nashville, for example, had a 2-0 score at halftime.

The Red & Black sizes up how Georgia and South Carolina will match up in the trenches.

There’s plenty of familiarities when it comes to Kirby Smart and Shane Beamer given that Beamer was a Georgia assistant under Smart. Here are some of Kirby’s comments on Beamer.

There’s a line of thinking that receivers make the best defensive backs. Look no further than how Kelee Ringo played the ball in his first career interception.

Go Dawgs!
