The Dawgs (and much of Dawg Nation with them) are back on campus and ready to tee it up between the hedges. It’s a beautiful and, dare I say, brisk September morning and if you’re anything like me you’ve got your grills, smokers, and Crock-Pots ready to go. For many of you, this may be your first time reuniting with your tailgating crew in a couple of years. If that’s the case, I hope you have a blast (but stay vigilant, safe, and healthy while you do so). As you prepare for today’s game and festivities, let’s kick things off with a little music...
And now your Gameday Morning Dawg Bites:
- With J.T. Daniels (somewhat) injured and potentially unable to play in today’s game, the name on everyone’s mind is Carson Beck. Well, I have some good news, the AJC breaks down where things may or may not stand. Kind of.
- Who loves a hype video prior to kickoffDawgs ? This guy.

- Dawgs Daily (FanNation/SI) gives us a look at some of the shifts we may see in the Georgia O-Line following Tate Ratledge’s season-ending injury and the various levels of “banged-up” a few of our Dawg linemen find themselves dealing with. Good vibes going out to Tate and his sweet, sweet mullet. Looking forward to getting you back better than ever, big guy.
- Where facilities are concerned, AD Josh Brooks recently gave a few updates on changes coming to Sanford, Butts-Mehre, Foley Field, and the softball facility.
- Finally, off the gridiron and on the pitch, Georgia’s soccer team is off to an amazing start. Get this, in just 7 matches, the ladies in Red and Black have scored 32 goals. And they have some big matches on the horizon, so check the calendar and see if you can’t make some time to get out and support them.
That’s all for now.
In addition to providing you with a little morning news, this space will also be your Gameday Morning Open comment thread. Are you venturing onto campus in the Classic City? Tailgating from home? Let us know in the comments and share your thoughts on the games and developments of the day. Macondawg will be along later on this afternoon with comment threads for the matchup between the UAB Blazers and our Georgia Bulldogs.
Until later...
GOOOO DAWGS!!!
