For a certain segment of the college football internet, the folks at Homefield Apparel need no introduction. They’ve been making some of the most comfortable collegiate branded clothing, featuring vintage and throwback designs for a few years now. See for example this Tulane Green Wave tee which I bought despite having absolutely no affiliation with Tulane athletics or even the university in general.

Leading up to the start of college football season Homefield has been releasing merchandise for a new school every Saturday, in a sixteen week long march known as Big New Saturday (Big XII football fans and listeners of the Shutdown Fullcast will get this on a personal level). Previous weeks included Notre Dame, LSU, Texas, Texas A&M, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Kentucky, Tennessee, Florida, and most recently Miami.

And now it’s our turn.

The Georgia collection will feature 13 pieces of apparel including t-shirts, hoodies, and crewnecks. I haven’t gotten to lay hands on the collection yet, but I can assure you the other stuff I’ve gotten from Homefield has been high quality.

I have had a chance to review the designs. And that’s where things get pretty exciting for Bulldog fans. Homefield has a knack for hopping in the way back machine and bringing back the logos, phrases, and overall feel of a bygone era and updating them perfectly. They’ve really hit it out of the park with this UGA collection, bringing back some classic Bulldog looks long retired from the mainstream market. If you’re the kind of Bulldog fan who knows who “the railroad track crowd” was or prefer your Bulldog helmets with white stars on the back these designs are going to hit you hard.

The collection will be available beginning at noon eastern tomorrow on the Homefield site. Be sure to use the promo code DAWGSPORTS to get 15% off at checkout on your first Homefield purchase.

Until later . . .

Go ‘Dawgs!!!
