Coach Taylor’s ‘Dawgs, fresh off a double digit slaying of the Drexel Dragons, are set to tip off this afternoon against the Oregon Ducks with a shot at UGA’s first Sweet Sixteen bid since 2013.

Georgia downed Drexel on Monday by a score of 67-53, behind a brutally efficient 19 point effort from post player Jenn Staiti. Oregon got past South Dakota 67-47 on Monday behind 6’2 forward Erin Boley’s 22 point effort. The Ducks also played stifling defense, holding the Coyotes to one point during a stretch beginning in the first quarter and ending just after the second half tip. Unlike Drexel, Oregon won’t likely be outrebounded with 6’5 Nyara Sabally and 6’7 Sedona Prince playing significant minutes down low.

The Bulldogs are going to have to limit turnovers, a bit of an issue all season, and shoot well if they’re going to dance past the 6th seeded Ducks.

Tip off is at 3:00 eastern, with coverage on ESPN2. Until later...

Go ‘Dawgs!!!
