What’s up, y’all?! We’re back!

For those of you who’ve gotten into a groove with the Sunday night show, we apologize. Life is life, and it finds ways to find a way to disrupt the best laid schedules. Since we didn’t put anything on tape Sunday we decided to throw down a little late-night Dawg Sports Live last night this morning.

We continued our spring position previews by looking at Georgia’s returning pass catchers, and folks, there’s a lot of them. The Dawgs bring back a disgusting amount of riches, and we brought a large amount of game tape to the show to talk about how the wide-receivers and tight-ends are going to preform this coming year.

In addition to tape, we brought plenty of stats to the show. This is a chart showing the average EPA of the SEC’s returning wide-receivers on obvious passing downs in 2020. EPA stands for “Expected Points Added,” and it is a good way to measure the explosiveness, efficency and effectiveness of a player. Another way to put it, is that Georgia has three guys in the league’s top eleven when it comes to being able to get open and make catches in situations when the defense knows the offense is going to try and throw (think third-and=long or a drive at the end of a half where Georgia takes over on their own 18 yard-line with 1:06 on the clock).

Point being, this is good news, and Josh is awesome for being able to bring this type of data to us. There’s plenty more advanced metrics on the show. We also cover...

  • We got into the triumvirate of Pickens, Burton and Jackson
  • Graham makes a hot take on who the team’s most talented WR is
  • We feel like a certain former UGA quarterback who has spent some time talking about George Pickens might just need to shut up
  • If you praised George at his “beating up GT defensive back” then don’t hate on him at his “squirting water on a Tennessee player in the midst of a pandemic”
  • Why I believe Kearis Jackson is going to put up more yards than any UGA wide-receiver in 2021
  • We love you Dominck Blaylock.
  • Can you think of a player you’d be more happy for a breakout season from than D-Rob?
  • DON’T SLEEP ON JUSTIN ROBINSON
  • OR JOHN FITZPATRICK
  • Todd Monken please run a three TE set and unite us under a banner of happiness
  • What’s the loudest game you’ve ever seen in Sanford Stadium?
  • Why is Tom Crean?
  • Depressing SEC Basketball Tournament Predictions
  • FYI, there’s some NSFW language towards the end, because Tom Crean
