Georgia’s men’s Ultimate (frisbee) team, "Jojah", will play UNC Darkside for the 2021 Championship on December 20.
Georgia, an 11th seed, has been the surprise of the tournament, taking down at least 3 higher seeded teams. Their aggressive defense has helped them crash the party this year. Now they face the Bama of men’s collegiate ultimate, UNC. Darkside has pretty much had a dynasty going the past few years- sans a 1+ year break because COVID shut down all ultimate at the collegiate level.
I know most of you don’t care about ultimate but these Dawgs deserve a look. You can see one of their tournament upset wins on YouTube at Ultiworld’s channel. I think the finals will be on one of ESPN’s channels.
