First Quarter Open Thread: Being Midwest Nice To The Tigers

The ‘Dawgs will kick it off in Athens in a few moments against the Missouri Tigers. The Red and Black are a prohibitive favorite against a Tiger team that has struggled mightily on offense and defense this season.

In prior years this is precisely the type of game other UGA teams would have underperformed in. I don’t expect that today.

I do expect Missouri to try to do some different things defensively to shore things up against the Bulldog run game. If that works good for them. If not, I’d expect to see the UGA offense break some big ones. This should be Daijun Edwards’ shot to put a 100 yard game on the board.

Defensively, we still don’t know if injured Mizzou QB Connor Bazelak will get the start. No matter who’s calling the cadence for the Black and Gold, stopping Tiger tailback Tyler Badie, the SEC’s leading rusher, will be key.

IT’S SATURDAY IN ATHENS!!!

Go ‘Dawgs!!!
