With the new committee rankings, it seems all anybody can do is talk about the playoffs and how the rankings are totally right or completely wrong or how this team or that will or won’t make the playoffs. We are not amused:

There is still over a month of college football Saturdays to be played. And guess what... they’re gonna go a long way to clearing up all this playoff hubbub. So let’s pump the brakes a little and see what happens over the next five weeks. Starting now:
Let’s do it!

And now for my viewing suggestions for each time slot:
WEDNESDAY
Central Michigan Chippewas @ Western Michigan Broncos, 7:00 P.M. - ESPNU
Watching directional Michigan schools play on a Wednesday night is something only we truly depraved college football sickos do. But there are way more of us than you would have thought!
THURSDAY
Georgia State Panthers @ Louisiana - Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns, 7:30 P.M. - ESPN
The Ragin’ Cajuns are 7-1 and control their own destiny in the Sun Belt. The Panthers are at .500 and are just looking to throw a wrench in things. I do love spending Thursday nights with the Sun Belt, so I know where I’ll be.
FRIDAY
Utah Utes @ Stanford Cardinal, 10:30 P.M. - FS1
Friday night Pac-12 After Dark... say it softly and it almost sounds like a prayer.
SATURDAY NOON
Missouri Tigers @ Georgia Bulldogs, 12:00 P.M. - ESPN
Woohoo! Another noon game! I am consumed with a joy that surpasses all understanding. I love food prepping at 4 am. It’s my absolute favorite. YAY!
SATURDAY AFTERNOON
#13 Auburn Tigers @ #14 Texas A&M Aggies, 3:30 P.M. - CBS
Normally, I would go with Notre Dame/Navy here (and to be honest, I’ll still watch some), but having seen Navy play a number of times this season, I don’t think this is the best year to tune in... I’d love to be wrong. But what do you know, we Top 15 matchup with potentially serious SEC West implications so that’ll just have to do.
SATURDAY EVENING
LSU Tigers @ #2 Alabama Crimson Tide, 7:00 P.M. - ESPN
You kinda have to go with this one based on ranking alone, I suppose. But in all likelihood, I’ll be flipping regularly between this game, Tennessee/Kentucky, and Florida/South Carolina.
SATURDAY LATE
USC Trojans @ Arizona State Sun Devils, 10:30 P.M. - ESPN
DId you know that Oregon is the only Pac-12 team without at least three losses? This isn’t the best game of the late slot, but I needed an opportunity to share that information.
That’s all for now, folks.
Until next week...
GOOOO DAWGS!!!
