Georgia Overview

Georgia dominated Florida in the Cocktail Party, winning by a score for 34-7.

To no one’s surprise, the Dawgs were ranked #1 in the first College Football Playoff Rankings. As Kirby Smart pointed out, only one team has been ranked #1 in the first Rankings and gone on to win it all – Alabama last year. UGA will look to make this a trend.

The Dawgs host Missouri in Athens this Saturday at noon in an attempt to move to 9-0 and stay atop the rankings.

Movers

First CFP Rankings

Overrated

#11 Oklahoma State. I don’t just believe the Cowboys are slightly overrated, but the entire Big 12 conference. Auburn and Texas A&M would defeat both Oklahoma State and Baylor on neutral field, and possibly even Ole Miss, Miss State, and Kentucky.

Underrated

#6 Cincinnati. I’m only half-surprised the Bearcats are ranked as low as sixth. On the one hand, their strength of schedule is pretty poor. On the other, they are passing the eye test, and they went into South Bend and defeated Notre Dame. This will be fascinating to watch as we go deeper into November.

This Week’s Top 25 Matchups

#13 Auburn at #14 Texas A&M

Upset Alert

Houston gave SMU their first loss of the season last week.

This week, I’m taking FSU at home as a three point underdog to knock off #19 NC State.

GO DAWGS!!!
