NFL Dawgs Update

The NFL season has headed into October, and so have some top performances by NFL Dawgs, some rookies, and other by league veterans.

Here’s a look at some of them.

At this point, just call Roquan Smith and Alec Ogletree the Dawg Monsters of the Midway. Ogletree had 12 tackles and a pass breakup on fourth and goal in the Bears 24-14 win against the Lions. Roquan Smith also registered ten tackles and a sack while D’Andre Swift hauled in four catches for 33 yards and rushed the ball eight times for 16 yards.

Elsewhere in the NFL North, Eric Stokes had his first career interception and eight tackles in the Packers 27-17 win against the Steelers.

In a sight for sore eyes in you are a Falcons fan, the Giants, led on defense by Tae Crowder’s nine tackles, beat the Saints in overtime, 27-21. Lorenzo Carter had nine tackles, Azeez Ojulari had four and Andrew Thomas played every offensive snap at tackle.

It was an offensive show on both sides of the ball if you are a Georgia fan in the Cardinals 37-20 win against the Rams. AJ Green have 67 yards receiving, including a 41-yard touchdown and Leonard Floyd had five tackles and a sack. Sony Michel had 11 yards rushing for the Rams as quarterback Matthew Stafford passed for 280 yards and two touchdowns.

In the Chiefs 42-30 win against the Eagles, Deandre Baker had four tackles and Mecole Hardman rushed for 25 yards and had 16 receiving yards.

The Bills walked over the Texans 40-0 as Isaiah McKenzie had 24 yards on punt returns and 20 via kickoff returns.

Ben Cleveland found his way into the lineup for the Ravens, playing 24 snaps at guard while Justin Houston had two tackles and a sack. Nick Moore was also in at long snapper for seven punts, three field goals, and two PATs for Baltimore.

Field goal tries from 34 and 43 yards were good for Rodrigo Blankenship in the Colts 27-17 win against the Dolphins, who were paced by seven tackles from John Jenkins.

Tyson Campbell had eight tackles, one for a loss in the Jaguars 24-21 loss to the Bengals.

Ben Jones was in for 87 snaps at center in the Titans 27-24 overtime loss to the Jets.

In a low-scoring game, Nick Chubb rushed for 100 yards in the Browns 14-7 win against the Vikings.

In Sunday night’s much-hyped contest, both David Andrews and Isaiah Wynn played every offensive snap in the Patriots 19-17 loss to the Buccaneers.

Cameron Nizialek averaged 45.5 yards for the Falcons in their 24-30 loss to the artist formerly known as the Redskins.
