In a strange time where the normal order of things has been vastly altered, your University of Georgia Bulldogs began the game a bit bewildered and sluggish before scoring 29 unanswered points in the second half against the Arkansas Razorbacks to emerge victorious when time expired in Fayetteville.
It is our intention to celebrate Georgia Bulldog Football Wins whenever and wherever they occur. The ugliness of any particular win is irrelevant for the purposes of the Winning Smart Victory Post.
It is therefore my deepest honor and privilege to bring to you this week’s edition of: The Winning Smart Victory Post.
Coach Kirby Smart coached his 57th game tonight for the Red & Black. He currently boasts a 45-12 record and a 0.7895 winning percentage, having carded his forty-fifth win overall over the Arkansas Razorbacks to kick off the 2020 football season.
At the identical juncture in their careers:
Vince Dooley’s 57th game as head coach resulted in a Georgia Bulldog win over the South Carolina Gamecocks in the 1969 season. Giving Coach Dooley a record of 41-13-3 and 0.7411 percentage.
Coach Mark Richt was 47-10 (0.8246) after beating Tennessee in the 2005 season.
Fifty-seven games into his head coaching career Kirby Smart is two games behind Coach Mark Richt and ahead of Coach Vince Dooley by 2 1/2 games. As of now, he is holding his own versus the two winningest coaches in Georgia Football History.
As always . . .
Go ‘Dawgs !!!
