Your Week 2 College Football TV Schedule

The season is finally starting to gain speed...

As we enter the second week of the “Sort-of-Season,” things really do start to get better. We have the ACC and Big 12 starting up and, although most of their members have still managed to work in a cupcake game or two, it feels like were approaching something resembling normalcy. I wouldn’t say there are any especially choice games this weekend, but we do at least have a few in-conference battles — in these cases it looks like the teams involved got jobbed in the scheduling because they were laboring under the assumption that they would be playing their in-state rivals from the SEC later in the season. Oh, well... you hate to see it. Let’s get this thing started!

And now my viewing picks for each of this weekend’s time slots:

UAB Blazers @ MIami Hurricanes, ACCNetwork - 8:00 pm

Ok, sure... it is the ONLY game. But UAB had some pretty decent firepower last week, albeit against Central Arkansas. On paper, sure, Miami should win. Handily. However, if the last 20 years have taught us anything, it’s that nobody knows what Miami’s got preseason and anyone that says they do is selling something.

Syracuse Orange @ #18 North Carolina Tarheels, ACCNetwork - 12:00 pm

Dino Babers’ Orange squad regressed mightily in 2019. Let’s see how they do against Mack Brown’s guys.

Duke Blue Devils @ #10 Notre Dame Fighting Irish, NBC - 2:30 pm

Did you really think I was gonna miss the first game after the Irish actually had to suck it up and join a conference? Ha. That said, I don’t expect the Blue Devils to put up much of a fight.

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets @ Florida State Seminoles, ABC - 3:30 pm

Come for the sideline lifting, stay for the ACC’s first ever 15th best team. #404theculture

#1 Clemson Tigers @ Wake Forest Demon Deacons, ABC - 7:30 pm

I don’t think it’s gonna be much of a game, but it’s the first one we can legitimately call a primetime conference face off, so watch we must.

Coastal Carolina Chanticleers @ Kansas Jayhawks, FS1 - 10:00 pm

Well, it’s no Pac 12 After Dark, but it’ll have to do.

That’s it for now everybody. Until next week...
