Georgia guard Warren Ericson mentioned this week that he and his fellow offensive lineman have been competitive over making their weights this offseason. It sounds like some of the big boys up front are trying to get a bit leaner before the 2020 season starts.
That got us thinking, why might Todd Monken want slimmer offensive lineman? What kind of blocking schemes does he historically employ that are different than what we have seen from Georgia up to this point in Kirby Smart’s tenure? If his past tactics are an indicator, Monken will be asking Georgia’s lineman to do a lot of things in 2020 that they werent asked to do in 2019.
