Behold, the schedule we thought we’d never see, and which some doubt will actually be played:
Sept. 26: at Arkansas
Oct. 3: Auburn
Oct. 10: Tennessee
Oct. 17: at Alabama
Oct. 24: at Kentucky
October 31: Bye week
Nov. 7: vs. Florida
Nov. 14: at Missouri
Nov. 21: Mississippi State
Nov. 28: at South Carolina
Dec. 5: Vanderbilt
A few initial thoughts:
- Having a bye on Halloween seems so weird, man.
- Obviously the front half of the season is going to be where the tale is told on this season. That stretch against Auburn, then Tennessee, and finally at Bama could be worse, but only if we subbed out Florida for the Big Urnge.
- Playing South Carolina on Thanksgiving weekend is spiritually the best available substitute for playing Tech in that slot.
- In most years having a 40 day gap between home games (Georgia won’t play in Sanford Stadium between October 11th and November 20th) would seem utterly bizarre. This year that sort of thing seems almost mandatory.
So what do you think? To which games are you looking forward and why? Until later....
Go ‘Dawgs!!!
