20 for 2021: Offensive tackle Terrance Ferguson

Notre Dame Fighting Irish v University of Georgia Bulldogs

We continue our look at 20 of the top prospects you should know for the class of 2021 with a big lineman from a school that’s been very good to the ‘Dawgs.

The list of Peach County Trojans who’ve made their way to Athens to don the red and black is long and illustrious. Adrian Hollingshed, Randy McMichael, AJ Bryant, and now Tyrique McGhee have all distinguished themselves. As Kirby Smart has been known to say, when you pick up a player from Fort Valley you know you’re getting a physical, aggressive football player who’s used to winning.

That describes offensive lineman Terrance Ferguson to a tee. The 6’4, 300 pound rising senior is ranked by the recruiting services as a guard, and the #3 one in the nation at that. He’s also ranked as the #5 player in the state of Georgia. Name a college football powerhouse (Alabama, Auburn, Florida, FSU, LSU, Miami) and they’ve offered him. Ferguson is a legit national top 50 player, from a part of the Peach State that’s about as red and black-tinted as you can get.

Ferguson is actually pretty lean at this stage and could easily end up playing at a trim 320 pounds after a year of college strength and nutrition. He also has the quick feet and punch to play just about anywhere on the offensive front.

Along with Bleckley County standout Amarius Mims and Camden County Star/current UGA commit Micah Morris he also forms a trio of OL talent that could be the linchpin of the Bulldogs’ 2021 class. The Red and Black have been lucky to have 5 star line prospects like Andrew Thomas, Ben Cleveland, Jamaree Salyer, and Broderick Jones right in their backyard. Ferguson would fit nicely in that lineage, as well as the long line of great Trojans who became Damn Good ‘Dawgs.
