2020 just continues to deliver the weird.
Reports emerged this afternoon that former Bulldog standout and 2019 first round draft pick Deandre Baker was a suspect in an armed robbery. Now warrants have been issued for Baker and Seahawks corner Quinton Dunbar.
Baker now is charged with four counts of armed robbery and an additional four counts of aggravated assault with a weapon. Standard warnings about innocence until proven guilty apply here. But it sounds as if Baker and Dunbar had lost some money to a group of associates in a card game a few days ago and decided to make back their money the easy way.
If true the allegations are deeply disappointing, and could spell the end of a promising NFL career for Baker. Also, I’m a little disappointed that Baker chose a former Florida Gator as his partner in crime. Until later...
