‘Dawgs Look To Finish Strong Versus Bayou Bengals

NCAA Basketball: Florida at Georgia Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Your Georgia Bulldogs, bloodied but unbowed, are getting ready to tip off in Baton Rouge against LSU to conclude the regular season.

It’s been quite a ride. The Red and Black (15-15, 5-12 SEC) are surely a better basketball team than they were in 2018-19. They’ve been perhaps a little underwhelming when measured against preseason expectations. That’s probably not on Coach Crean, who shouldn’t have to remind us that a roster featuring nine freshmen is bound to be a little unpredictable.

But hey, it’s been entertaining, right?

The Hoop Hounds are of course a prohibitive underdog against Will Wade’s Tigers (20-10, 11-6 SEC). But what do we know? The ‘Dawgs could score a road upset and gin up some momentum headed into next week’s SEC Tournament. Weirder things have happened. If nothing else we can all watch along on ESPN2 at 2:00 pm to see if Tom Crean’s jacket is in working order. Sometimes it’s the little things that keep life interesting.

Go ‘Dawgs!!!
