In times like these a sense of perspective is more valuable than gold. Which is more valuable than your 401(k). But not nearly as valuable as a roll of toilet paper.
I don’t know how much toilet paper former Bulldog Todd Gurley currently possesses. But I know that after getting cut by the Rams on Thursday with two years remaining on his contract, he still has more money than you or I, and Gurley definitely has a level head about the situation.
Damn I got fired on my day off #QuaratineAndChill

To be fair, Gurley’s departure from Los Angeles didn’t come as a surprise. It’s been known for some time that the team was looking to move in a different direction at tailback with lingering questions about the long term health of Tuhd’s left knee. He’s simply not the workhorse back the Rams drafted in the first round in 2015, and while most of his $24 million contract is guaranteed, the club decided to bite the bullet and go in another direction (likely in the upcoming draft, assuming it happens).
It remains to be seen where the 25 year old former ‘Dawg will ultimately land, though it’s expected that a) he’ll find somebody willing to take a chance on one of the most efficient scoring backs in the league, and b) you’ll continue to feel geriatric knowing Todd Gurley is still only 25. For what it’s worth the NCAA still owes him another six or so games of football in my book. So I vote Athens. Until later...
Go ‘Dawgs!!!
