The Kansas City Chiefs and San Fransisco 49ers will square off at 6:30 eastern tonight (or as soon thereafter as the pregame hype will allow) in the 54th edition of the Super Bowl (or Super Bowl LIV for the Romans among you).
And for the 19th season in a row at least one former Georgia Bulldog will be on the field. Mecole Hardman has enjoyed a productive rookie campaign for the Chiefs, snagging 26 receptions for 528 yards and 6 touchdowns in Kansas City’s high octane offense. Enjoy watching he and his teammates race up and down the field in exotic and creative ways, and don’t think for a moment about what he could have done in the 2019 Georgia Bulldog offense.
The Chiefs are a 1.5 point favorite according to the guys in Vegas. For my part, I’m a little suspicious of the Kansas City defense’s ability to stop the 49ers, I feel a little better about the San Fran defense that topped the league in total defense and was sixth in passing defense. Call it a hunch.
Let’s also use this as the Open Thread for all your game viewing and commercial/halftime show criticism or celebration. Until later...
