New Year’s Eve Bowl Open Thread: Trojans, Black Knights, and a Pirate

NCAA Football: UNLV at San Jose State Neville E. Guard-USA TODAY Sports

There are a trio of bowl games on this, the last day of 2020, and one of them even features an SEC team. The Armed Forces Bowl will kick off at noon on ESPN with #24 Tulsa facing Mike Leach’s Mississippi State Bulldogs. Tulsa you may recall was last seen jussttt barely falling to Cincinnati in the AAC title game, so if you’re a fan of the transitive property this would should interest you.

At 2:00 on CBS Sports Network #22 San Jose State will take on the Ball State Cardinals in the Arizona Bowl Live Fromm Tucson, Arizona. This is not to be confused with the New Mexico Bowl, which this year was actually played in Frisco, Texas. It’s been that kind of year.

Finally, the Liberty Bowl will kick off live from beautiful, scenic Memphis at 4:00 on ESPN. Tennessee was slated to face West Virginia but, again, it’s been a year. So instead the Black Knights of the Hudson will take on the Mountaineers.

Thank you to all of you who have made Dawg Sports a great place to be for yet another year. Here’s hoping next year is a little more boring than the last. Until later...

Go ‘Dawgs!!!
