Evening Open Thread

NCAA Football: Alabama at Louisiana State Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

There are few things more enjoyable than an evening of consequence-free college football following a Georgia Bulldog victory. We find ourselves on the cusp of just such a good night.

RedCrake has your full schedule here. But to summarize and highlight:

  • LSU is traveling to Gainesville to try to arrest their season-long slide against the Florida Gators (7:30, ESPN). I don’t like the odds of a Bo Pelini defense against Kyle Trask and the Florida offense. But I could be pleasantly surprised I suppose.
  • Auburn heads to Starkville to take on Mike Leach’s Bulldogs in a game that will make someone somewhere angry despite not really meaning much in the grand scheme of things. (SEC Network)
  • San Diego State travels to BYU for a late game that promises to be pretty entertaining. (ESPN2, 10:30)
  • And Oregon State travels to Stanford (ESPN2) while Cal goes to Washington State (FSN) for genuine PAC-12 after dark late night football.

Grab some dinner, maybe a beverage, and curl up for some of the last college football action before whatever sort of bowl season actually occurs. Until later...

Go ‘Dawgs!!!
