Georgia Overview

Unfortunately, Georgia’s offense was what our worst-case scenario was, looking completely inept against an extremely average Florida defense en route to a 44-28 loss, with the score line flattering the Dawg offense.

We look to bounce back next week against Missouri.

Movers

Fell Out: #21 Boise State, #23 Michigan

Newcomers: #23 Northwestern, #25 Louisiana

Overrated

#22 Liberty. I only put Liberty here because they should have lost against Virginia Tech had Justin Fuente not tried to ice the Liberty kicker on an extremely long field goal. I am massive, massive proponent of not icing the kicker ever. Having played the position, icing the kicker has the opposite effect than what is intended. It allows the kicker to regroup and settle the nerves rather than feeling rushed or amped to go kick a game winner. Kickers for the most part are not weak mentally, and with more prep time, they are able to get into a better rhythm before the kick.

Underrated

#4 Clemson. After suffering a tough loss to Notre Dame in double overtime, the Tigers must win out in order to have a shot at the playoff. With quarterback Trevor Lawrence set to hopefully return soon, the Tigers should have no problem winning out and pushing for another national title.

Upset Alert

Last week, I took Boise to pull off another non-Saturday upset at home against BYU. Needless to say, that did not happen.

This week, I am taking Louisville, who is a three-point underdog, to go on the road to Charlottesville and beat Virginia.
