It’s the Saturday after Thanksgiving and another long day to wait for kickoff as our Georgia Bulldogs take on the Columbia Gamechickens. If I’m being honest, I’ve had a hard time making it through some of these later games recently. Maybe it’s the time change or maybe I’m just getting old. Either way, the 7:30 kickoff coupled with the fridge full of Thanksgiving leftovers in my kitchen means I’m going to need a little bit extra to get through this one. Luckily, I’ve got a some help...
Now for your Gameday Morning Dawg Bites:
- To begin, Dawg Nation has a final rundown of the game tomorrow (that isn’t much of a rivalry) through the lens of the rivalry that usually plays out on this date (that isn’t much of a game).
- I know we were all very impressed with JT Daniels and his performance last week, but this may (just possibly) be putting the cart before the horse.
- And speaking of potential draft grades for our current Dawgs, here are some more...
- We’re accustomed to thinking about the things Georgia needs to do to win the game each week, but almost as interesting is what the opposition needs to do to defeat the Dawgs. The Big Spur has 5 things South Carolina needs to do to make this one competitive.
- Oh, you wanted some keys for Georgia too? Well then...
- Finally, we have a way-too-early bowl prediction. And since I have no intention of going, I’m perfectly happy with the New Year’s Six game in Atlanta.
This is also your Gameday Morning Open Comment Thread. Use it to share your plans for this autumn Saturday, your thoughts on tonight’s game, and any suggestions for staying up past my bedtime that don’t involve mainlining caffeine. Macondawg will be along later with additional comment threads for the afternoon’s games (as necessary) and for tonight’s game against the Gamecocks. Until then...
GOOOO DAWGS!!!
