Around the SEC Gives Thanks

Happy Thanksgiving, Dawg Nation! It’s a great time to give thanks for friends, family, health, five-star recruits, and J.T. Daniels’ emergence as the man.

While we show our gratitude to those we care about, let’s round up the news in the conference prior to a different slate of Thanksgiving weekend games.

Here’s what’s happening around the SEC:

· Alabama head coach Nick Saban has tested positive for COVID-19, and it’s been confirmed it is not a false positive. We wish Coach Saban a speedy recovery as he will be away from the team until he is well.

· There are several rumors swirling about who the next South Carolina head coach will be. One of the more interesting ones is former UGA tight ends coach and special teams coordinator Shane Beamer.

· Vanderbilt may turn to women’s soccer goalkeeper Sarah Fuller to handle the kicking duties this weekend. She has practiced with the team this week and has shown off her strong leg. She would be the first female to appear for a power five conference team.

· Kentucky will be missing 18 players due to COVID-19 when they take on Florida. Not great, Bob. Not great.

Until next week – wash your hands, wear your masks, and GO DAWGS!!!
