Your Week 13 College Football TV Schedule

Will They? Or Won’t They?

NCAA Football: Mississippi State at Georgia Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Another week of this absolutely bizarre college football season is upon us. As of this writing, 10 games previously scheduled for this weekend have been postponed or cancelled. If previous weeks are any indication, that number is likely to grow. I’ll do my best to keep the schedule updated with additional postponements as news breaks (and will certainly have them marked prior to Saturday’s kickoffs). To find out what games you may actually be able to watch this weekend, let’s get it started...

(Note: From this point forward, the College Football Playoff committee’s rankings will be used.)

And now for my viewing suggestions for each time slot:

(This game has now been cancelled. Watch the other one)

Colorado State Rams @ Air Force Falcons, CBSSN - 2:00 pm

Let that turkey and stuffing settle while watching a middle-of-the-pack MWC matchup.

#2 Notre Dame Fighting Irish @ #19 UNC Tarheels, ABC - 3:30 pm

Work your way through that Thanksgiving hangover as the ACC takes one last shot at taking down the interlopers from South Bend. I’d be lying if I said I’ve got much confidence in Mack Brown’s boys, but maybe the Irish will be hungover, too. You know, from the food.

Penn State NIttany Lions @ Michigan Wolverines, ABC - 12:00 pm

There are a number of ranked teams playing in the early slot, but none of their opponents look like they’re up to the challenge. Instead, let’s find out if Penn State can get their first win of the season (LOL) against a Michigan squad that has lost 3 of their last 4 and only got their second win after being taken to overtime by Rutgers. Temps at kickoff are supposed to be below 40 degrees, so we may all be treated to both Jim Harbaugh and James Franklin soiling their long johns during a temper tantrum.

Mississippi State Bulldogs @ Ole Miss Rebels, SECNetwork - 4:30 pm

Sure, you have the Iron Bowl... but I have a distinct feeling that this isn’t going to be one of those years where weird things happen. I just don’t think Auburn has it in them. On the other hand, since they were hired, I’ve been waiting for Lane Kiffin and Mike Leach to face off in the Egg Bowl. There is just so much potential for shenanigans. It’s must see TV.

#9 Georgia Bulldogs @ South Carolina Gamecocks, SECNetwork - 7:30 pm

It’s kind of a Bobo Bowl, I guess? I’m sure Mike wants to win it and if it was against anyone else I’d want him to. But Georgia needs to exorcise some demons after last season and it is my expectation as a fan that they do so. Definitively.

That’s all for now, folks.

Stay safe and healthy. Until later...
