We are (probably) back, Dawg Nation! After a week off due to Missouri’s COVID-19 outbreak, Georgia is on track to play Mississippi State between the hedges on Saturday night, potentially with JT Daniels starting under center and wearing black jerseys.
I say this with less than 100% confidence as Mississippi State has had a recent COVID-19 outbreak that they are still recovering from. Additionally, WR Power Warren, the son of Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren, has entered the transfer portal. This decreases the scholarship players available to participate on Saturday, and we will just have to see what the final round of testing looks like.
Moving on to UGA alum, it was a bad day to hear that former Bulldog great Jake Scott, who won the Super Bowl MVP for the Dolphins in the only undefeated season in NFL history, passed away yesterday at the age of 75. We wish his family the best during this time.
Finally, regarding future Dawgs, four-star edge rusher Elijah Jeudy has narrowed his choices down to two: Georgia and Texas A&M. The Dawgs have made Jeudy a high priority for their 2021 class and will be hoping he chooses to spend the next 3-4 years in Athens when he makes his commitment on December 16th.
As always - wash your hands, wear your masks, and GO DAWGS!!!
