The World Don’t Rotate Around the SEC’s Butt

After a turbulent week where several games were postponed, the SEC looks to get back on track and limit the outbreak of COVID-19. So far, things on the COVID front have improved, but we aren’t out of the woods yet.

Here’s what’s happening around the SEC:

· The Texas A&M/Ole Miss game this weekend has been postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak at Texas A&M. This is the second straight game that has been postponed for the Aggies.

· South Carolina has fired head coach Will Muschamp, with offensive coordinator Mike Bobo taking over on an interim basis. The Smart vs. Bobo showdown will certainly be interesting next week. Also, if Dan Lanning lands a head coaching gig this offseason, I would not be shocked at all if Kirby brought in Muschamp to be the new defensive coordinator. Muschamp has struggled as a head coach in multiple spots, but there is no reason to believe he still can’t be an elite defensive coordinator.

· Multiple Heisman straw polls have seen Florida quarterback Kyle Trask leap up to be one of the two three favorites. After dismantling the Dawgs, Trask followed it up with another stellar performance against Arkansas where he threw for 356 yards and 6 touchdowns.

· A new report has alleged that LSU ignored sexual assault complaints against football players. More on this can be read here.

· Arkansas coach Sam Pittman is set to return to the sidelines this weekend after battling COVID-19. On the well wishes he’s received, our old friend Pittman stated, “Ol’ Daddy told me a long time ago the world don’t rotate around my butt but it sure felt like it with all the well wishes and all those things and I sure do appreciate it.”

Until next week – wash your hands, wear your masks, and GO DAWGS!!!
