Your Week 6 College Football TV Schedule

The heart of the season awaits!

NCAA Football: Auburn at Georgia Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Coming off a great weekend of college football (particularly where the Georgia Bulldogs are concerned), I feel a little greedy asking the football gods to top it. Now it’s entirely possible that some of the games this weekend may be duds, but just checking the sheer number of ranked matchups and rivalries of interest, it looks like they may be well on their way to doing it. Saturday looks to be an absolute blast... so let’s get to it!

And now for my viewing suggestions for each time slot:

THURSDAY

Tulane Green Wave @ Houston Cougars, ESPN - 7:30 pm

The folks over at Talleysight seem pretty split on this one. So there’s that drama and intrigue you’ve been missing on Thursday nights.

FRIDAY

Louisville Cardinals @ Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, ESPN - 7:00 pm

Ah, yes. Friday Night Lights. Just where the Yellow Jackets belong. And Louisville is coming off back to back losses, so maybe the boys from North Avenue have a shot? #404theculture™

SATURDAY NOON

#4 Florida Gators @ #21 Texas A&M Aggies, ESPN - 12:00 pm

Normally I’d put the Red River Shootout/Rivalry/Classic/Showdown/What-Have-You here, but, whew... that game has just been rendered completely irrelevant. So... let’s see if the Gators can maintain their current average of over 470 yards allowed per game.

SATURDAY AFTERNOON

#14 Tennessee Volunteers @ #3 Georgia Bulldogs, CBS - 3:30 pm

Is there any chance that Gary Danielson retired and I just missed it? If not, is it still possible for us to make that happen by Saturday? The Vols bring out the absolute worst in him and that’s a high, high bar.

SATURDAY EVENING

#7 Miami Hurricanes @ #1 Clemson Tigers, ABC - 7:30 pm

I don’t hold onto any real hope of the The U knocking the Tigers off, but I think they can at least keep it interesting for a couple of quarters. I don’t usually watch Clemson because, frankly, it bores me to tears, but maybe this one will be competitive for a while.

SATURDAY LATE

MIssouri Tigers @ #17 LSU Tigers, ESPN, 9:00 pm - MOVED

How perfect is this? Just about the time Clemson starts really pulling away from MIami, we’ve got some late night SEC action! What a fantastic way to end the day!

*Note: It appears I wrote too soon on this one. So not so perfect after all, huh? Due to Hurricane Delta, the game has been moved to Columbia, MO and will be played at noon. The game will now air on SEC Network Alternate*

That’s all for now, folks.

Until later...

GOOOO DAWGS!!!
