Even in a socially distant world, our photographic affiliates in Athens still managed to get some fantastic shots of the action on the field this weekend. Behold:

Toto, I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore.

I don’t really have a lot to say here. I just like pictures of Gus Malzahn looking like he’s seeing far more than he could ever understand.

Auburn’s Zakoby McClain gets home to put a hit on the Mailman during the second quarter. This was one of only a handful of times the UGA line allowed him to be touched. Even when they did, he still delivered.

Bo Nix on the other hand was pressured on something like 22 of his 40 passing attempts, 6 of them (like this one) by Adam Anderson alone.

The United States Postal Service delivers literally billions of pieces of mail on a weekly basis. This package had George Pickens’ name all over it.

Once more I say: If Stetson Bennett has this kind of touch on the ball and continues to develop confidence and rapport with his receivers, it’s going to be a big problem for defenders.

Azeez Ojulari came here to eat candy corn and knock the crap out of Bo Nix, and sadly he’s out of candy corn.

The fact that Bo Nix only threw one interception (this one to Mark Webb) is amazing given the level of violent harassment he endured all night.

Quay Walker had a good evening, logging four total tackles. But he also came unblocked twice and allowed Bo Nix to get away untouched for big gains that Kirby Smart didn’t seem pleased with in the postgame. This time, however, Bone X (Tm) went down hard.

Sure this photo of Zamir White striking paydirt is nice. But the offensive line surge that got him there was even better.

There was some confusion during the game as to why All-SEC candidate Eric Stokes didn’t get the start at corner opposite Auburn star receiver Seth Williams. Tyson Campbell erased those questions with a consistent, physical performance that kept Williams out of the end zone and visibly frustrated all night.

Kendall Milton conjured memories of Nick Chubb with a bruising fourth quarter carry. Incidentally, the all-SEC schedule in 2020 is going to force teams including Georgia to play more freshmen like Milton to lessen the load on starters. Also, the NCAA’s blanket grant of a “free year” of eligibility in 2020 means redshirting is, at least for the moment, a concept of the past.

We’ll see you next week with what I hope is photographic evidence of a creamsicle-hued butt whoopin’. Until later...
