Georgia Overview
Georgia soundly defeated Auburn 26-7 in the first game between the hedges in 2020. If you’re counting at home, that’s 13 wins in the past 16 meetings for the Dawgs. We looked a much more complete team on Saturday, and it appears we will be rolling with Stetson Bennett.
This week, the Dawgs welcome Tennessee to Athens in a matchup of top 15 teams.
Movers
Fell Out: #11 UCF, #16 Mississippi State, #18 Oklahoma, #24 Pitt, #25 Memphis
Newcomers: #18 SMU, #19 Virginia Tech, #23 Louisiana-Lafayette, #24 Iowa State, #25 Minnesota
Overrated
#22 Texas. Texas. Is. Back… right? We’ve heard about the Longhorns being back for years, and losing to TCU and needing a miracle comeback against Texas Tech constitutes as back, correct? Anyways, it’s amazing Texas is still ranked. I don’t imagine it’ll stay that way for long.
Underrated
#17 LSU. Yes, the opening week loss to Mississippi State wasn’t a good look, but the Tigers bounced back well against Vanderbilt and should take care of Missouri before the big matchup against Florida.
This Week’s Top 25 Matchups
#4 Florida at #21 Texas A&M
#19 Virginia Tech at #8 UNC
#14 Tennessee at #3 Georgia
#7 Miami at #1 Clemson
Upset Alert
Given that Oklahoma is a two-point favorite over Texas, that would not count as an upset. However, Boston College is a 4 ½ point dog to Pitt, and the Eagles will defeat Panthers in Chestnut Hill on Saturday.
GO DAWGS!!!
