The Bulldogs are looking to bounce back from a disappointing loss to Alabama against a Kentucky team that has been a study in inconsistency this season.

The Wildcats will go with Auburn transfer Joey Gatewood at quarterback in lieu of Terry Wilson, who injured his wrist in last week’s 20-10 loss to Missouri. Gatewood is a big, mobile quarterback and I’d expect the ‘Cats to try to take advantage of that by letting him run it behind some big bodies up front.

On offense I’m curious to see whether the Red and Black pull in the horns and manball it down the field or use this opportunity to try to get Stetson Bennett back on track after a bad second half against the Tide.

The wild card in this matchup may be how Georgia plays coming off a bye week that they didn’t know they’d even have until eight days ago. Honestly, I like this setup better headed into Jacksonville than a bye week which I’ve long felt led to some early rust against the Gators.

But first things first. Let’s skin the ‘Cats.

Go ‘Dawgs!!!
