Gameday Morning Dawg Bites and Open Comment Thread

My pockets are out and running about and barking in the street...

It’s a cold Halloween morning across Dawg Nation. While we’d normally be preparing for the WLOCP, our focus today turns instead to Lexington and the Kentucky Wildcats. As you know, your Georgia Bulldogs are coming off a painful loss to Alabama and a bye week. We need to see some improvement today in a game the Dawgs can and should win handily. Momentum from today would go a long way toward building confidence heading into next week’s matchup against the Gators, but hopefully the day doesn’t catch Georgia looking ahead to next week too much.

As we prepare for our Halloween tricks and treats and a noon start, let’s kick things off with a bit of musical accompaniment:

And now, your Gameday Morning Dawg Bites:

  • As always, the folks at @GeorgiaFootball on Twitter bring us a quality game trailer... this one with a bit of Halloween flavor:
  • Let’s start with the injury report leading into today’s game. There’s nothing too earth-shattering here, but keep an eye on the number of snaps both George Pickens and Monty Rice play heading towards the WLOCP.
  • Tom Hart of the SEC Network has a take on Stetson Bennett that will likely garner a mixture of responses from differing segments of the UGA fanbase. I don’t necessarily disagree with him except to say that “can” is quite a bit different than “is likely to”,
  • With Georgia recently picking up a big commitment, Dawgs247 lets us know who we should have our eye on to find out where Georgia could land its next big commit.
  • Finally, #4 Georgia easily bested #10 Florida in women’s swimming. Observers reported seeing a Florida swimmer that looked suspiciously like an aging Ryan Lochte in a wig. Or maybe that was just a Halloween costume.

This is also your Gameday Morning Open Comment Thread. Check out the nonsense on ESPN, share your thoughts with the rest of the commentariat, and prepare for some spooks and scares throughout the day. Macondawg will be along shortly with your open thread for today’s game. Until then...

GOOOO DAWGS!!!
