Are we having fun yet?
As everyone expected, Georgia has run the ball for 130 yards and Stetson Bennett has put together a crisp passing effort as the Bulldogs raced out to a 24-3 halftime lead.
Okay, maybe we didn’t expect it. But I for one have found it delightful.
The Red and Black defense has done a great job keeping Bo Nix form getting comfortable. Nix is 7 of 14 passing for an anemic 54 yards. Not coincidentally, if you’ve had a Bo’s Chin Fizz every time he’s taken contact you’re too inebriated to get on the Gus Bus, much less drive it.
The Mailman on the other hand has delivered a solid 12 of 22 for 158 yard effort, highlighted by a gorgeous touchdown pass to George Pickens. Zamir White has added a bruising 76 yards rushing on 17 carries. We’ve talked in these pages about Todd Monken’s propensity for taking what the defense gives him, and that first half was the epitome of it.
Finally, because it has to be said:
Hey @SEC, your rabid inability to make consistent, comprehensible targeting calls has escaped contain and is now attacking people in the ACC. Put a leash on it. https://t.co/MAri7jnUIY

On the bright side, LeCounte should be back for Tennessee. But the SEC’s continued inability to call targeting correctly is an indictment both of its officiating regime and the rule it’s been tasked with enforcing. I hate it almost, almost as much as I hate Auburn. But not quite.
Go ‘Dawgs!!!
