NFL Dawgs Update

NFL: Detroit Lions at Atlanta Falcons Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

So going into Sunday’s game in Atlanta, it was the holy grail matchup of Georgia running backs - Gurley vs. Swift as the Lions were in town.

The good news? Gurley scored a late touchdown. The bad? It left enough time for the Lions to swipe a win.

Gurley had a pair of rushing TDs and Swift had one, and Matthew Stafford was 25-of-36 for 340 yards, throwing a game-winning touchdown with no time left.

Gurley’s former team, the Rams, beat the Bears 24-10, helped by six tackles and two sacks by Leonard Floyd. Natrez Patrick also saw time on special teams.

Roquan Smith had eight tackles for a Bears and Javon Wims had an eight-yard catch.

Mecole Hardman’s two catches for 57 yards were part of the Chiefs big win over the Broncos.

Don’t tweet him about fantasy football, though...

In a 43-6 loss to the Niners, David Andrews and Isaiah Wynn for in for every offensive snap, and Charlie Woerner saw special teams work for San Francisco.

Isaiah McKenzie’s 14 yards receiving helping the Bills beat the Jets 18-10. Jordan Jenkins was in the game for 54 defensive snaps.

In the Cardinals wild win over the Seahawks, Lamont Gaillard was in for nine special teams plays.

In a 37-34 loss to the Browns, AJ Green paced the Bengals with 82 yards receiving, Shawn Williams had a pair of tackles and Geno Atkins played 12 snaps.

Ben Jones was in for every offensive snap in the Titans loss to the Steelers.
