Good morning, Dawg Nation. Are we ready for our first trip to Tuscaloosa since 2007 when Matthew Stafford found Mikey Henderson in the back of the endzone to walk it off in overtime? Ya, me too.
The line has moved down to around Alabama -4, depending on which outlet you get your odds, due to Nick Saban’s absence from the sidelines given his COVID-19 diagnosis. Again, we here at Dawg Sports wish him a speedy recovery and are happy to hear he is reportedly asymptomatic. We can see Saban is still his usual self, as he has questioned the NCAA’s policy on remote coaching from isolation.
The big thing we will be monitoring are the results from the last round of COVID-19 tests given Saban’s positive result. At the time of this writing, the game is still on, and we anticipate it will stay this way unless we find that contact tracing or positive results have ruled out enough of the Tide.
In Dawg news, Stetson Bennett IV was named the Manning Award Quarterback of the Week. He won the award over seven other Manning Award Stars of the Week via a contest on Facebook. Let’s hope this is the first of many accolades for the Mailman.
Finally, if you don’t have a pulse and are not amped for the game tomorrow night, Georgia has released their Week 4 Hype Trailer.
As always - wash your hands, wear your masks, and GO DAWGS!!!
