Winning Smart Victory Post #47 - Celebrates the Thrill of Victory

We can celebrate without drawing a penalty right Birmingham? No? My bad.

Stetson ‘The Mailman’ Bennett IV and the Classic City Canines ended the longest current winning streak today by giving the Volunteers of Knoxville a second half spanking. I shall ignore the first half.

It is our intention to celebrate Georgia Bulldog Football Wins whenever and wherever they occur. The ugliness of any particular win is irrelevant for the purposes of the Winning Smart Victory Post.

It is therefore my deepest honor and privilege to bring to you this week’s edition of: The Winning Smart Victory Post.

Coach Kirby Smart coached his 59th game tonight for the Red & Black. He currently boasts a 47-12 record and a 0.7966 winning percentage, having carded his forty-seventh win overall over the Tennessee Volunteers.

At the identical juncture in their careers:

Vince Dooley’s 59th game as head coach resulted in a Georgia Bulldog win over the Vanderbilt Commodores in 1969. Giving Coach Dooley a record of 42-14-3 and 0.7373 percentage.

Coach Mark Richt was 49-10 (0.8305) after beating Tennessee in the 2005 season.

Fifty-nine games into his head coaching career Kirby Smart is two games behind Coach Mark Richt and ahead of Coach Vince Dooley by 3 1/2 games. As of now, he is holding his own versus the two winningest coaches in Georgia Football History.

As always . . .

Go ‘Dawgs !!!
