Kirby Smart pleased with his team’s focus (and grass).

Coach Smart faced the cameras this evening following Georgia’s 63-17 win over Murray State with a few things to say, including...

• A short list of the things he loves about Cade Mays.

• The thing George Pickens did that was actually more impressive than his circus catch.

• A couple of other freshmen doing work early in 2019.

• Eli Wolf’s big day.

• A little glorification of the UGA turf team, who totally deserve it.

All in all I’d agree with Coach Smart’s assessment. The starters got serious about this one the way you’d expect them to, and as a result Georgia got the chance to play just about everyone on the roster. Sure, there’s room for better execution. But all in all the Red and Black showed good intensity on a hot day against an inferior opponent. Until later....
