It’s Week 2 of the college football season and we have a ton on the slate. Surprisingly, the ACCNetwork has a full schedule. Even more surprisingly, they may have a game or two you actually want to watch. That said, I’m still trying to figure out how they plan to start a new game every 3 hours. I have a feeling that on Saturday they will have a number of fanbases screaming at their TVs. Anyway, let’s get to it:

Wake Forest Demon Deacons @ Rice Owls, 8:00 p.m., CBSSN

It’s pretty slim pickings here, but this one could be interesting I guess?I mean, Wake Forest beat Utah State and Rice hung with Army pretty well so... Guys? Hey guys?!? Where’d everybody go???

Noon

Cincinnati Bearcats @ #5 Ohio State Buckeyes, 12:00 p.m., ABC

Well, this game certainly got a lot more interesting now, didn’t it?

Afternoon

Murray State Racers @ #3 Georgia Bulldogs, 4:00 p.m., ESPN2

#12 Texas A&M Aggies @ #1 Clemson Tigers, 3:30 p.m., ABC

So here’s the rub: I’m obviously going to be watching the Georgia game, but I’m not going to hold it against you if you choose to flip over to one of the few ranked-on-ranked contests of the day. In fact, I’m planning on watching the first 30 minutes and then flipping over to it during commercials myself.

Evening

BYU Cougars @ Tennessee Volunteers, 7:00 p.m., ESPN

#6 LSU Tigers @ #9 Texas Longhorns, 7:30 p.m., ABC

The suggestion here is a simple one: Pop yourself a nice big tub of popcorn and tune into the Knoxville dumpster fire, then get that “Back/Previous Channel” button nice and warmed up to switch back and forth between that and two teams that actually seem to know how to play football.

Late Night

#23 Stanford Cardinal @ USC Trojans, 10:30 p.m., ESPN

California Golden Bears @ #15 Washington Huskies, 10:30 p.m., FS1

Now that’s that good, good PAC-12 After Dark I’ve been looking for. Into my veins!!!
