NFL Dawgs Update: This is RBU

NFL: Los Angeles Rams at Cleveland Browns Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The spotlight may have paled in comparison to what went on in Athens on Saturday, but it was still a big week for the NFL Dawgs.

It didn’t get much bigger than Sunday night’s Rams 20-13 win over the Browns with Todd Gurley and and Nick Chubb on opposing sides. Night like that are what line up the next backs to want to be at Georgia. On the night, Gurley kept the Rams going offensively with 14 carries for 43 yards with Chubb rushing for 96 yards.

Three rushes for 10 yards and a nine-yard catch were part of Isaiah McKenzie’s day for the Bills, whose 21-17 win against the Bengals moved them to 3-0. For Cincy, John Atkins had five tackles to go with Shawn Williams’ nine.

As New England beat the Jets 30-14, Sony Michel rushed the ball nine times for 11 yards with a touchdown.

The Lions took a wild 27-24 win against the Eagles with Matthew Stafford throwing for 201 yards and a touchdown.

Mecole Hardman still is coming up big for the Chiefs. Against the Ravens, he had two catches for 97 yards, include an 83-yard touchdown catch.

Justin Houston had two tackles in the Colts victory against the Falcons.

In Tampa, the Giants 32-31 win featured seven tackles by Deandre Baker, five from Lorenzo Carter and two from Alec Ogletree.

Georgia defense north, aka the Bears, got a win as Roquan Smith picked up six tackles and Leonard Floyd having four. Javon Wims also caught his first pass of the season.

The Dolphins lost 31-6 to the Cowboys, but John Jenkins did have a tackle.

Thomas Davis remains among the NFL’s top tacklers, logging seven of them for the Chargers in a loss to the Texans.

Go Dawgs!
